Eastern Himalayan Region Numeral Classifiers Are Convergent, Not Areal

Written for the preliminary exam for my PhD, this paper examined the issue of numeral classifiers in the Eastern Himalayan Region, and through an approach that considers both structure and semantics, found that an explanation that relied solely on contact to suggest that the feature is “areal” was lacking
